{made} — pink pointy kitty

Sewed this pink kitty for my Godchild as a Christmas present. Picking out the fabric was fun, went with two different patterns. A pink floral for the main body and a tiny polka-dot for the underbelly.

The first attempt went bust, some of the seams popped when I was trying to stuff it. I think it was mostly my sewing got too close to the edge of the fabric. So, I recut all the pieces and started over, this time taking every step a little slower and really focusing on the details. It turned great and the stuffing went pretty well.

I added the felt stripes on the head only, I eliminated the back stripes because I thought they were a bit much. I also didn’t add the face details- the eyes, nose and whiskers. I liked it simpler.

I crocheted up a little collar with a loop at one end and used a button to attach it around the neck.
