{made} — purple pointy kitty

Sewed this pink kitty for my cousin’s little girl as a Christmas present. Picking out the fabric was fun, went with two different patterns. A purple dragonfly pattern for the main body and a multicolored polka-dot for the underbelly.

I added the felt stripes on the head only, I eliminated the back stripes because I thought they were a bit much. I also didn’t add the face details- the eyes, nose and whiskers. I liked it simpler.

I crocheted up a little collar with a loop at one end and used a button to attach it around the neck.

{made} — pink pointy kitty

Sewed this pink kitty for my Godchild as a Christmas present. Picking out the fabric was fun, went with two different patterns. A pink floral for the main body and a tiny polka-dot for the underbelly.

The first attempt went bust, some of the seams popped when I was trying to stuff it. I think it was mostly my sewing got too close to the edge of the fabric. So, I recut all the pieces and started over, this time taking every step a little slower and really focusing on the details. It turned great and the stuffing went pretty well.

{made} — gargoyle

As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to make this cute little guy for Ryan. It was part of his one year anniversary gift…little did I know it would be such an adventure to make. Mostly because there were about 13 individual little pieces that needed to be seamed up, and I really dislike seaming. Even though there was a ton of individual pieces, the pattern was very clear and I was never lost or confused.

The only thing I did a little different was I waited to close up the head until I attached the nose, brow and eyes because I had safety eyes. I think it made it a little easier to get them all on there anyway.
I also put a little bead wire in the wings to help them hold their shape, the yarn I used was pretty flimsy.

The pattern is available for $4 on Ravelry.
