{made} — cotton candy cowl.

While we were back home in Michigan for the holidays, I stopped into the old LYS to look around. Found this delicious yarn and was compelled to make something cozy and warm to wear.

Crocheted this cowl up pretty much in one night, did the finishing touches the next day. Enjoyed wearing it while we were home and since it’s lacy it’ll work well out here in California as well.

The pattern is available on the Lion Brand website for free if you are a member.

{made} — purple sandpiper

Great project to work on while getting over my cold. Was a little intimidated by the chart at first glance, but once I got going it was really quite simple.

Did the suggested bind off, Elizabeth Zimmermann‘s sewn bind off, I like the technique but it really made it curl (like the top) so I blocked the whole piece. This helped to finished it off.

The grey yarn was slightly heavier than the purple and light blue, so the neck is a tad droopy. Comfy and cozy which is all that matters though.

This pattern is available for free on ravelry.

{made} — charcoal gaiter

Made this for my father to wear while snowmobiling and ice fishing. It came out a little big, but it’ll work with the heavy coat he wears.

The green re-useable bag I sewed is what I used to wrap all my holiday gifts this year, it’s just easier than traditionally wrapping gifts while flying. Plus, they might come in handy through out the year to use for other things.

Used iron-on transfers to add my logo and a holiday message onto the front of them.

The pattern is from the book: One Skein by Leigh Radford.
